What is FIRST Tech Challenge?
The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is an international robotics competition where middle and high school students design, build, and program robots to compete in a themed floor game. It goes beyond just mechanics; teams work together to solve complex problems, develop innovative strategies, and reflect the values of Gracious Professionalism. It’s a place where young minds become future engineers, using science and technology to tackle exciting challenges in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
WHO WE ARE
Our robotics program consists of students in grades 6–9, participating in FTC competitions annually. Approximately 20 students participate annually, guided by three faculty advisors with backgrounds in mechanical engineering, mathematics, and computer science. Students design, program, and test robots while preparing for regional competitions, earning Finalist Alliance honors in 2024 and 2025.
